Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs any party’s (“you,” “your,” or “Customer”) use of or access to any products, services, or features (collectively, the “Services”) provided by Fullstory or any of its Affiliates, including the Fullstory platform, Subtext by Fullstory, and any related tools, APIs, or developer features (collectively, “Fullstory”).  This AUP provides guidance on what constitutes misuse of the Services, either because the activity violates applicable law or because it poses a risk to the Services or to other Fullstory customers. By using the Services, you agree to comply with this AUP.  If you do not agree with the terms of the AUP, do not access or use the Services. 

Updates to this AUP 

This AUP is effective as of the date set forth above. Fullstory may update this AUP from time to time by posting a revised version at https://www.fullstory.com.pgm.c5nprx.cc/legal/acceptable-use/. Continued use of the Services after such posting constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.  Capitalized terms used but not otherwise defined in this AUP shall have the same meanings ascribed to them in the applicable agreement governing your use of the Services (including the Master Services Agreement located at https://www.fullstory.com.pgm.c5nprx.cc/legal/terms-and-conditions/ or the Subtext by Fullstory Terms of Service located at https://subtext.fullstory.com.pgm.c5nprx.cc/tos/).  

AUP Violations 

A violation of this AUP by a Customer is deemed a material breach of the agreement in place between such Customer and Fullstory and may result in the suspension or termination of access to and use of the Services and/or termination of such agreement by Fullstory.  

Prohibited Activities 

You may not, and will not permit or encourage anyone else, including your Users, to use the Services or Customer Data to perform any of the prohibited activities below. For purposes of this AUP, any action taken by an AI agent, coding assistant, or automated tool at your direction or under your control is deemed your action.

  • Violations of Laws: You may not use the Services to violate laws, regulations, governmental orders, data privacy laws, or industry standards or guidance in any applicable jurisdiction. This includes violating laws (a) requiring consent be obtained prior to processing personal data, transmitting, recording, collecting, or monitoring data or communications; (b) requiring compliance with opt-out requests for any data or communications; (c) prohibiting access to the Services from a jurisdiction where such use or access is not authorized, including from an embargoed country; (d) prohibiting the sending of spam or otherwise duplicative or unsolicited messages; or (e) regarding the export of data or software to and from the US and other countries. You also may not use the Services to create, store, or transmit (1) material related to child sexual abuse or exploitation (CSAM); or (2) content related to the development or sale of weapons in violation of applicable law.  

  • Infringing Content: You  may not use the Services to store, transmit, or make available (a) content that is infringing, libelous, unlawful, obscene, tortious, or violate third-party rights; (b) content or technology that harms, interferes with, or limits the normal operation of the Services, including monitoring traffic or data; or (c) material advocating or advancing criminal hacking, cracking, or phishing. 

  • Prohibited Uses: You may not use the Services to (a) collect, transmit, or process Sensitive Data; (b) collect information without providing adequate notice and obtaining any required consent or authorization; (c) collect, capture, or use the Services on an application that is not under your direct ownership (including via browser extension) without (i) consent from the owner of the website/mobile application and (ii) consent from the end user whose data is collected or captured by the Services; (d) collect or capture person-to-person communications, such as by using the Services to capture messages from in-app messaging or customer support chats (including end-user communications with chat-bots), without first obtaining end-user consent; (e) transmit or disclose information gathered using the Services in a manner that would be a “sale” or “sharing” (for targeted advertising), as those terms are defined by applicable law, with any ad exchange or data broker, or otherwise with a third party for the purpose of assembling or commercializing customer profiles; or (f) train, fine-tune, or improve any artificial intelligence or machine learning model that competes with Fullstory's products or services using data obtained through the Services. 

  • Harmful Activities:  You may not use the Services to transmit or store any content or communication (commercial or otherwise) that is illegal, harmful, racist, defamatory, fraudulent, sexually explicit, or otherwise poses a threat to the public. This prohibition includes use of the Services to propagate or advocate for violence, exploitation, abuse, explicit content,  discrimination, hate, or the causing of harm to others. You may not use the Services to harass or intentionally interfere with another Fullstory customer’s use or enjoyment of the Services or interfere in any manner with the operation of the Services or the network used to operate the Services. You may not use the Services to engage in any activity that is harmful to Fullstory’s business operations or reputation.You also may not use the Services to create, generate, share, or store: (1) sexually explicit content, including erotic chatbots; (2) non-consensual intimate imagery; (3) content created through plagiarism or that alters images of real persons without their consent; or (4) misleading or deceptive content depicting real persons, including content created or altered to falsely portray identifiable individuals.  

  • Interference with the Services: You may not (a) disrupt or otherwise negatively impact any aspect of the Services or any third-party networks or services that are linked to the Services; (b) modify, make derivative works based upon, copy, or otherwise use any ideas, features, functions, or graphics of the Services to build a similar or competitive product or service; (c) license, sublicense, rent, lease, sell, resell, loan, distribute, translate, or otherwise transfer any rights to the Services; (d) "crawl", "scrape", or "spider" any data or portion of the Services (through use of manual or automated means); or (e) copy, reproduce, republish, upload, post, or transmit the Services or any other materials provided in connection therewith. 

  • Reverse Engineering: You may not disassemble, decompile, reverse engineer, or otherwise attempt to access or derive source code or other trade secrets from the Services or any portion thereof. 

  • Service Integrity Violations: You may not access or use, or attempt to access or use, the Services to take any action that could harm Fullstory or any other person, or interfere with the operation of the Services.  Unless you have explicit authorization from Fullstory you agree not to, directly or indirectly: 

  • Bypass Service Limitations: attempting to bypass, exploit, defeat, or disable limitations or restrictions placed on the Services. 

  • Exploit Security Vulnerabilities: finding security vulnerabilities to exploit the Services or any related systems or attempting to bypass any security mechanism or filtering capabilities. 

  • Circumvent or Disable the Services: any denial of service (DoS) attack on the Services or any other conduct that attempts to disrupt, disable, or overload the security, integrity, or performance of the Services, or of any party’s use of the Services. 

  • Use Harmful Code or Bots: transmitting, uploading, or sharing Malicious Code, or using automated means, such as bots, intended to do harm, gain access to, or use the Services, or designed to affect the operation of the Services. This provision does not prohibit the use of AI coding agents or automated development tools that access the Services through authorized integrations (such as MCP) in accordance with the applicable agreement and Documentation.

  • Gain Unauthorized Access: attempting to gain unauthorized access to the components, features, or functions of the Services, whether directly or indirectly, or modify, remove, or obstruct any identification or proprietary rights statement or notice contained in the Services, or impersonate a User, share passwords, or provide false identity information to access or use the Services.

  • Developer Tool Misuse: using developer tools, tunneling features, or API, MCP, or other programmatic access for purposes other than your internal development and debugging activities as described in the Documentation.

AI Usage 

If you use any Fullstory feature that incorporates artificial intelligence (“AI”), you are responsible for ensuring that your and your Users’ use of such features complies with applicable law and this AUP. The prohibitions in this AI Usage section are in addition to, and do not limit, the Prohibited Activities and other restrictions set forth elsewhere in this AUP. All provisions of this AUP apply to your use of AI tools and features, whether or not specifically referenced in this section. Without limiting the foregoing: 

  • AI Literacy and Oversight. You will ensure that your Users who access or operate Fullstory’s AI features have a sufficient level of training, knowledge, and understanding to use such features responsibly and to recognize their limitations. You will provide appropriate human oversight of AI outputs before relying on them to make decisions affecting individuals. 

  • Transparency to End Users. Where any AI feature interacts directly with your end users, you will provide such notice, disclosure, and other transparency information to those end users as may be required by applicable law, including informing them when they are interacting with an AI system where required.

You may not, and may not allow your Users or any third party to, use Fullstory’s AI features: 

  • For automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on individuals without meaningful human review (e.g., employment, credit, insurance, housing, or eligibility for essential services); 

  • To generate individualized advice typically provided by a licensed professional (such as legal, financial, or medical advice) without review by a qualified human professional; 

  • To infer or predict an individual’s protected characteristics, including race, religion, sexual orientation, political views, or health status (provided that this does not prohibit using AI to detect security threats, prevent fraud, or reduce bias in decision-making); 

  • To create or analyze biometric identifiers (such as face prints or fingerprints) from images or video of individuals; or

  • To configure or direct any AI agent, coding assistant, or automated tool to circumvent, disable, or work around privacy controls, masking settings, or data capture restrictions configured in the Services.

High-Risk Use Disclaimer. Fullstory’s AI features are not designed, intended, or authorized for use in high-risk contexts where errors, malfunctions, or misuse could result in death, serious personal injury, significant property damage, loss of fundamental rights, or other serious harm to individuals or the public. High-risk contexts include, without limitation, use in or with: critical infrastructure (such as utilities, transportation, or medical devices); law enforcement, immigration, or administration of justice; safety components of products or systems; or any context in which AI output is used as the sole or determinative basis for decisions about employment, credit, housing, healthcare, education, insurance, or access to other essential public or private services. You may not use Fullstory’s AI features in any such high-risk context.
